ADMISSION        

     The office of Admissions and Aid screens all applicants for college through Admission Placement Examination. This is intended to determine the student potential for success in college. Career counseling is also done to assist students choose a course which in line their interest and capability.

SCHOLARSHIP

      It is the desire of Ateneo de Naga University to make its College Education available to young people of the Bicol Region. However, considering the high cost of living and the rising educational expenses, it is vry difficult to study unless financial assistance is made availbale to them. Scholarship may be given to  poor but deserving students.

     Scholarship grantees are selected on the basis of:

• Financial needs as indicated in the Scholarship Application Form;
• Good academic standing;

Commitment to the service of the school and the community activities and a potential for the greater service in the future

ATENEO DE NAGA UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Ateneo de Naga University Scholarship Program offers various types of financial assistance to academically qualified but financially handicapped students who may wish to study at the Ateneo de Naga University.

PROCEDURES:

1. An applicant must first take and pass the entrance/scholarship examinations. This is a requirement for new students only.

2. A Scholarship/Financial Aid Questionnaire is given to those who meet the cut-off score for scholarship. The parents or guardian must accomplish this form. To be attached to this form are:
   
   a)  A detailed personal statement about the family's financial situation and the reason for the             request.
   
   b)  Photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return or BIR Certification for Tax Exemption
   
   c)  Photocopy of HS Report Card

         3.   The applicant is interviwed by the member of the Ateneo Collegiate Committee on                Scholarship (ACCS).

     Pre-selection is done to choose the qualified applicants on the basis of the following criteria:

            a)  Financial need as indicated in the Scholarship/Financial Aid Questionnaire

            b)  Good academic standing

            c)  Commitment to do service for the school and the community     

Note: Scholarship exams for School Year 2006-2007 were scheduled last August and November (in campus) and all off-campus testing. No other dates will be scheduled for this purpose.
