AdNU Honors New CPA's

Twenty-one (21)  new Certified Public Accountants (CPA's) of the Ateneo de Naga University were feted with an Awarding Ceremony and Testimonial Dinner last June 12, 2008 at the Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J. Convention Hall. 

A Thanksgiving Mass at the Christ the King University Church preceded the formal event. After the Eucharistic Celebration, the awarding ceremony immediately followed. It opened with an Invocation followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Dr. Debbie Abiog-Adriano, Dean of the College of Commerce, then gave the Welcome Remarks.  Highlights of the evening were the Message of Dr. Rebecca Torres, AdNU's Academic Vice President as well as testimonies delivered by the new CPA's. Ms. Helenita Ruiz, Chairperson of the Accountancy Department, concluded the program with her Closing Remarks.

A sumptuous dinner capped the momentous event.

The combined efforts of these new CPA Board Passers placed Ateneo de Naga at fourth rank as best-performing school nationwide in the May 2008 CPA Board Examinations. AdNU had a passing rate of 41.17% while the national
passing rate was 27%.
