AdNU Education Graduate Selected as TOSP National Finalist

Ms. Ira Sheena C. Howard, a Bachelor in Secondary Education-Honors Program (BSSE-HP) graduate, was chosen as one of thirty (30) national finalists in the Search for the 2008 Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP). She emerged finalist after the esteemed and repuatable members of the National Screenng Committee found her a worthy choice from among a hundred other contenders all over the country.

Ms. Howard graduated as Class Valedictorian of the 2008 Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU) College Graduating Class. She finished with a Magna Cum Laude and earned a Distinction in Education. She was also given the St. Ignatius of Loyola Achievement, Service, and Leadership Award, the highest award given by AdNU to a graduating student. Furthermore, in 2007, she was also chosen as one of the Outstanding Jose Rizal Students of the Philippines.

Dr. Arnulfo Aaron R. Reganit, Dean of AdNU's College of Education, and Atty. Jo Aileen Cabiles, Director of AdNU's Office of Student Affairs will attend the Awarding Ceremonies whereby the top ten outstanding students will be announced on July 17, 2008 at Malacañang Palace. A Certificate of Recognition from the National Executive Committee will be presented to Ms. Howard and to the university in gratitude for their contribution to the success of the 2008 TOSP National Program.
