Dr. Barcillano Elected as PRO in the ASPAP General Assembly

As a member institute of the Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, Inc.  (ASPAP), the Ateneo de Naga University through its Graduate School Masters in Public Administration (MPA) Program, was represented in the ASPAP's Annual General Assembly held at Assembly Hall, 2nd Floor, NCPAG Building, UP Diliman Campus last June 27, 2008.  Dr. Malu C. Barcillano, in her capacity as official representative of the University to the organization attended the said affair. Among the agenda of the assembly was the election of the new set of officers which will serve for two (2) years. The Ateneo de Naga University, represented by Dr. Barcillano, was elected as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the organization.

A Public Colloquium was also organized a day before the General Assembly and  was titled : “Is there a Philippine Public Administration?” This was organized by the National College of Public Administration and Governance-University of the Philippines (U.P. NCPAG), United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), Association of Schools of Public Administration, Inc., (ASPAP) and Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA). The activity ended in the morning on the following day.

The aforementioned activities sponsored by the said organizations lead to the promotion of high standard of public service towards the sustainable development of the country with the paramount consideration to the general welfare of the citizenry.
