AdNU Reorients Upperclassmen Anew
The College Guidance Center , in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Academic President for Formation, organized and conducted a Reorientation Seminar for Upperclassmen in the month of July.
The College of Nursing was the first to undergo the said reorientation last June 13-14, 2008 at the Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. Convention Hall. The other five (5) colleges, on the other hand, had theirs last June 25, 2008 from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The venues for these five colleges were as follows:
- College of Commerce - University Gymnasium
- College of Computer Studies - Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. Convention Hall
- College of Education - Fr. Richie Fernando S.J. Hall
- College of Engineering - Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. Retreat Center
- College of Arts and Sciences Christ the King University Church
The Reorientation Seminar for Sophomore, Junior and Senior Students allows the upperclassmen to review the precise demands of their particular academic disciplines. This is deemed important as they proceed to the major offerings of their chosen courses. It also endeavors to inculcate in them an appreciation for the formation programs and thrusts of the University. The ultimate objective of this activity is to challenge the upperclassmen to live up to the character, identity, personality, degree of discipline, and ethical standard befitting an Atenean.
The College Guidance Center is headed by its Director,Dr. Rufino Ll. Ramos while the office of the Deputy Academic Vice President for Formation is headed by Ms. Janet Badilla, University Deputy Academic Vice President for Formation.
