Members of AdNU's academic community, most especially the students, came to school in their business and corporate attires during AdNU's 3rd University Dress- Up Day last July, 30, 2008.

This activity is a formation initiative under the Ignatian Formation Program meant to prepare students for their professional life, where appropriate grooming and clothing is expected. It also aims to build their confidence and enhance their skills in public relations and dealings.

Indeed, the students not only looked like young executives but also felt like young professionals as they strutted their way to and from classrooms, through corridors, and along pathways during this day. The administrators as well as members of the faculty and staff  also dressed up a little more formally than their usual office wear in an expression of solidarity with the students.

Statistical feedback from last year's University Dress-Up Day showed that seventy-four (74) percent found the activity beneficial. Eighty-two percent (82) percent agreed that the endeavor should be continued while sixty-nine (69) percent said that it should be observed every semester.

This year, majority of the feedback from students, administrators, and members of the faculty & staff were also positive, saying that it was indeed good for the students to have a feel of what it would be like when they work. Though some still found it uncomfortable and even inconvenient to participate in this activity, most students said that their confidence rose as they looked and felt more respectable and dignified.
