AdNU-CLG Implements SIW In Sorsogon City

On October 15-16, 2008, the Ateneo de Naga University-Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG) conducted the Service Improvement Workshop (SIW) in Sorsogon City as part of the implementation of the Public Service Excellence, Ethics and Accountability Program (PSEEAP). This activity was commissioned by The Asia Foundation (TAF) as part of their project on Localizing Counter Corruption in Six Cities in Luzon and Visayas.

This SIW was conducted as a follow-through to the Service Audit Workshop (SAW) conducted on August 26-27, 2008.  The participants represented the five (5) offices/departments covered by the Program, namely, the City Mayor’s Office, City Administrator’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Planning and Development Office and City Public Market Office. These offices were led to identify their strong as well as critical areas for improvement based on the results of the Customer Feedback Instruments (CFI), which were prepared last August 28, 2008 during the Coaching on the Implementation of the Customer Feedback Instruments.

Aside from the Service Improvement Recommendations (SIRs), the participants finalized their Performance Pledges and Action Plans for Service Improvement.

Further, the workshop required the offices to present the Service Vision, Service Values, Service Strategies, Cycle of Service, and Service Standards which they crafted during the previous workshops as exhibits in the Gallery.

The Trainer-cum-Facilitators for the said activity were Ms. Benita Michele S. Ciudadano, CLG Staff and Ms. Maria Cristina M. Delos Santos, Chair of the Department of Business Administration
